Фольклорный ансамбль "Кралица" организован в 1991 году при Киевском Национальном университете культуры и искусств Заслуженным работником культуры Украины, профессором Иваном Синельниковым. Репертуар ансамбля составляют песни: социально-бытовые - лирические, рекрутские, чумацкие, шуточные; обрядовые - колядки, щедривки, веснянки, купальские, свадебные песни, которые были записаны в фольклорных экспедициях на Полесье, Слобожанщине, Надднепрянщине.
На фольклорном экспедиционном материале ансамблем подготовлено концертные программы: “Щедрый вечер”, “Весняночка-паняночка”, “Уберём куста”, ”Сегодня Купала”, “Весилля”, “Русские карагоди” (на музыкальном материале россиян-старообрядцев с. Русские Пилипы Житомирской области Украины).
На украинском телевидении записаны программы: “За Вифлеемской зорёю”, “Весенние хороводы”, "Проведу я русалочку", "Спотыкач".
В фонды Национального радио Украины фольклорный ансамбль "Кралица" записал 78 вокальных и инструментальных образцов народной музыки; выпустил три CD-диска: "Лето", "Ой у Києви", "Ходила пава", четвёртый - в формате МР3 .
Фольклорный ансамбль “Кралица" является Лауреатом Всеукраинских та международных конкурсов:
• 1994 г. - Лауреат Международной премии “Дружба”;
• 2001 г. – обладатель Гран-При Всеукраинского фестиваля-конкурса хоровых коллективов имени Порфирия Демуцкого (Киев, Украина);
• 2007 г. – обладатель Гран-При Международного конкурса фольклорных записей EBU – Grand Prix Светозара Страчины (Братислава, Словакия).
Основным направлением творческой деятельности коллектива есть исследование и популяризация народных обычаев, обрядов, песен, хореографии и инструментальной музыки Украины. Театрализованная форма выступлений, яркие традиционные народные костюмы, наследование и сценичное воплощение народных песенных традиций – все это придаёт молодёжному коллективу "Кралица" неповторимого колориту.
The folk ensemble "Kralytsya"
The "Kralytsya " folklore ensemble under the direction of the Honoured Culture Worker, Professor I.H. Sinelnikov, was founded on 1991 at the department of study of folklore, folk songs'' and instrumental performance of the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts.
During the period of its creative activity, the ensemble had given many concerts. The "Kralytsia " ensemble was on tour in Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Cherkasy, Vinnytsya, Chernihiv, Kirovohrad regions and in the following cities: Kyiv, Lviv, Rivne, Zaporizhya, Zhytomyr, Chernihiv /Ukraine/; Moscow, Volgograd, Vladivostok, Bryansk, Byelgorod /Russia/; Homel /Belarus/; Tallinn, Sillamae /Estonia/; Lublin /Poland/; Baku /Azerbaijani/; Ostrava /Czech Republic/.
The ensemble''s basic repertoire includes the songs, recorded in Rivne, Zhytomyr and Chernihiv regions. And also the songs of Volyn, Kyiv and Naddnipryanshchyna (regions, neighboring the Dnipro river) regions of Ukraine.
On the basis of folklore material, recorded during the folklore research expeditions, the following concert programs were developed: "Shchedryi Vechir" (Ukrainian Orthodox Christmas Eve ritual songs), "Vesnyanochka-Panyanochka" (Spring feasts'' ritual folk songs), "Uberemo kusta" (The Holy Trinity Sunday ritual folk songs), "Syohodni Kupala" (The ritual folk songs for the celebration of the end of summer solstice and of the beginning of the harvest), "Prosyly bat''ko, prosyly maty - na khlib, na sil'', na vesillia" (The Wedding folk songs), "Rosijski Karahody" (Russian folk songs, recorded by Russian Old Believers from the village Rosijski Pylypy, Zhytomyr region) and other.
The following concert shows of the ensemble were recorded by the Ukrainian TV: "Za Vifleyemskoyu Zoreyu" ("Following the Star of Bethlehem" - the Christmas folk songs), "Vesnyani Khorovody" ("The Spring''s round dances" - the spring feasts ritual folk songs), "Spotykach" (The comic folk songs).
The National Radio Company of Ukraine Fund collected the 88 samples of folklore songs and instrumental performances, recorded by ensemble and used in radio broadcastings.
The "Kralytsya" folklore ensemble released the 3 CDs: "Lito" (Summer), "Oy u Kyevi" (In the city of Kyiv), "Khodyla Pava" (The Peahen Was Walking), which include 70 musical samples. And the 4-th CD of MP3-format.
The "Kralytsya" folklore ensemble is the laureate of the following all-Ukrainian and international contests:
1994, The "Druzhba" International Prize;
2001, Grand Prix of the Porfyriy Demutskyi All-Ukrainian Festival-Contest of the choirs /the city of Kyiv/;
2007, Grand Prix of the Folk Records International Contest - the Svetozar Stracina Grand Prix in Bratislava, Slovakia.
